There are disparities in access, receipt, and quality of health care.  Hospice use continues to be disproportionally low among minority racial, ethnic, and other diverse populations.  The hospice community must implement strategic efforts and plans to expand hospice access to these groups.

The most successful outreach programs are creative and incorporate many out-of-the-box strategies. Thinking beyond hospice for these under-served populations is important, because a patient’s illness is part of a larger, complex cultural and family dynamic.  Join us to gain a deeper understanding of these issues and the right tools to care for patients and their families.
