On April 2, 2015, OSHA updated its voluntary guidelines for preventing workplace violence for health care and social service workers.  The decade-old guidelines were updated partly to address increased workplace violence in the health care industry.  Because OSHA recognized home care directly in this guidance, providers should understand their expectations.

The OSHA guidance does not provide a one-size-fits-all policy.  Instead, it contains five elements and guidance for each.  This webinar will review OSHA’s revised guidance and workplace violence trends affecting hospices.  It is important for providers to understand the background and OSHA’s goals in order to assess their compliance efforts and implement appropriate policies and procedures.

HIGHLIGHTS
