Did you know 64.5 million Americans volunteered nearly 7.9 billion hours last year? Volunteering has trended upward among Generation Xers over the past 11 years. Yet many organizations are “stuck” and continue to use outdated volunteer models. When was the last time you took a long hard look at your volunteer program, including how you recruit and train – and most importantly what constitutes a “meaningful experience” for prospective volunteers in your community?

Since the most effective way to recruit volunteers is through word of mouth, ensuring that volunteers stay and are excited about their work should be a top priority. This webinar will explore current volunteerism trends and what people generally expect from volunteer work. It will also address methods for aggressive retention and creative ways to include volunteers beyond the “office and bedside” models.
