Featured Presenters: Lynn Hill Spragens, MBA Liz Fowler, MPH Judi Lund-Person, MPH, CHC Webinar Description: Hospices are increasingly offering palliative care programs as part of their commitment to address the needs of seriously ill patients in the community. However, a host of questions often arise about how to structure a new palliative care service. How can hospices determine organizational objectives and priorities for the palliative care program?
This webinar, co-hosted by the Center to Advance Palliative Care and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, introduces foundational principles and common business concerns related to hospices offering and operating palliative care programs. Presenters will provide an overview of the options available to hospices when creating complementary service lines. Key considerations that every hospice should visit or revisit when considering, starting, or expanding a non-hospice palliative care service will be discussed, such as business strategy, and legal and regulatory issues.
Join a panel of speakers as they discuss what hospices should consider when operating a community-based palliative care program, and get your questions answered!
Who Should Join: Hospices that are considering, starting, or expanding a non-hospice palliative care service
