The pediatric interdisciplinary team has the privilege of being involved in end-of-life care for children and their families. To ensure the ability to deliver expert, compassionate care at the end of a child’s life, it is essential that the care team has expertise in both the art and science of end-of-life care.
The death of child, whether expected or unexpected, is a complicated, emotional experience for the dying child, family, and healthcare team. End-of-life care and discussions are not usually part of nursing or medical training. This webinar will provide an understanding of the end-of-life journey and ways the interdisciplinary care team can facilitate a “good death”; care for and support the family through this emotional journey; and help the grieving team throughout and after the child’s death. Join us to learn applicable concepts, tools, and care delivery models that will facilitate your ability to provide expert, compassionate care at the end of life.
