Hittin the Road for Hospice

FOURTH ANNUAL HITTIN’ THE ROAD FOR HOSPICE SCHEDULED TO RUN APRIL 23

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (April 12, 2015) – Gulfside Hospice has announced the five stop locations for its Hittin’ the Road for Hospice motorcycle poker run on Saturday, April 23.

The run will begin at Harley-Davidson of New Port Richey, located at 5817 State Road 54. Registration and check-in starts at 8 a.m. with with kick stands up at 9:30 a.m. and last bike out by 10 a.m. From there, riders will pick up their second poker card at Brits Pub & Eatery, located at 13706 Little Road in Hudson. A third card for the rider’s poker hand will be drawn at the VFW Post 8681, located at 18940 Drayton Street in Spring Hill. The fourth stop for a poker card will be at the Local Public House & Provisions, 32750 Pennsylvania Avenue in San Antonio.

The run’s final stop and post-run celebration will be held at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Zephyrhills Aerie #3752. The post-run celebration begins at 1 p.m. and will feature music, vendors, a silent auction and prizes for the best and worst poker hands as well as top fundraisers for the event.

A first place prize of $300 will go to the person with the best poker hand at the end of the run; $200 will go to the second place winner and $100 to the third place winner. A special prize will also be given to the person with the worst poker hand. Riders can pre-register now for the event for $20 per person at www.HittinTheRoadForHospice.org for $5 off and a free t-shirt. Registration includes first poker hand and entrance to post-run celebration. Day-of-event registration costs $25 per driver. Cost for passengers is $10 per person.

Gulfside Hospice, established as a nonprofit corporation in Pasco County in 1988 and initially licensed in 1989, serves more than 325 patients daily. Gulfside employs over 250 professionals and has more than 500 volunteers.
