17TH ANNUAL SENIOR FEST AT NEW LOCATION
BREVARD COUNTY, FL – Brevard County TRIAD, Inc. will host their 17th Annual Senior Fest on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at a new location, Hilton Rialto, 200 Rialto Place, Melbourne 32901.
“We are moving one of our signature events, Senior Fest, to the Hilton Rialto this year. This event has been held at the Melbourne Auditorium for years, but the change of venue will allow us to have breakout rooms to accommodate presentations by Sheriff Ivey, State Attorney Archer and St. Francis Pathways Palliative Care Program,” explained Joe Downs, President of Brevard County TRIAD. “It will be a lot easier for people to hear the important information being presented.”
The public is invited to attend. Admission and parking are free. Over 70 Senior Community Resources, Health Insurance Plans, Medicare Benefits and Eye and Hearing Care representatives will be providing information on their products and services. Flu shots will be available, and the provider will be accepting Medicare Part B and other insurance plans. All attendees will be entered into a drawing for several door prizes and a free brunch will be served.
Brevard County TRIAD, Inc., created in 1998, is a partnership between the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, local Law Enforcement agencies and the State Attorney’s Office. TRIAD is tasked with identifying and developing programs to address the needs and concerns of senior citizens in Brevard County. Issues addressed, include crime prevention, personal safety, health concerns, transportation needs and other important topics that arise as our senior population nearly doubles over the next 30 years.
