Having an agency-wide quality improvement program has always been important, but now with a Condition on QAPI (Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement), it is mandatory for agencies to comply. Infection control is a very important and vulnerable area for home health agencies. The integration in the QAPI program will be addressed. Compliance often comes down to understanding what needs to be done and how. Having a great quality program will lessen agency problems, maintain compliance, and lead to success! Examples of audit tools and quality indicators will be provided.
