Emergency management in healthcare focuses on ensuring the safety and continuity of care for patients during emergencies or disasters. It encompasses preparedness, response, and recovery, and includes training, planning, and communication. As a result, CMS has identified specific Conditions of Participation (CoPs) related to emergency management. This webinar will review the requirements for an effective, compliant emergency management plan and program. It will demonstrate how to complete an HVA and risk assessment and address the required elements of emergency management, including communication, training, and testing.
