Hospice providers routinely contract with other entities for everything from inpatient services to medical directors to space leases. Many contracts have requirements in the Conditions of Participations (CoPs). Hospice CoPs have requirements for services and providers that must be met before a hospice may contract for inpatient services. These contracts are often with referral sources (or potential referral sources), such as nursing homes, physicians, and hospitals. Arrangements with referral sources can cause significant risk if they do not comply with appropriate safe harbors or if the relationship does not have on-going monitoring.

This webinar will cover a number of common contract compliance issues, such as medical director agreements and SNF room and board payments. In addition, it will address issues that may arise when approaching facilities about inpatient agreements.
