Position Description

The Integrative Medicine Assistant will assist the Integrative Medicine Clinician to help create more efficiency in the Integrative Medicine Clinic.

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); more advanced education preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure: Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
• Certifications: Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant certification strongly preferred. Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination (as necessary) with “Capable” result required.
• Must have reliable transportation, which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
• Demonstrated experience in caring for the terminally ill and others with life threatening illnesses is preferred.
• Understanding of standard precautions, infection prevention and patient safety measures.
• Previous experience in and knowledge of the use of complementary therapies as related to Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
• Organizational skills, flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks required.
• Internal and external customer service oriented.
