Florida Hospital HospiceCare Dedicates Memorial Brick Garden at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The community is invited to join Florida Hospital HospiceCare on March 29 at 4 p.m., as they dedicate the newly-installed memorial garden at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.

The memorial garden was funded by a generous bequest from the late Kate Sifton and will be named the “Chris Steadman Memorial Walkway.”

When Sifton passed away in 2012, her will requested this gift be made in memory of her friend and former Florida Hospital HospiceCare patient, Chris Steadman, in appreciation for the compassionate end-of-life care he received.

This memorial brick garden will serve as a place for patient families and friends to create a lasting legacy for a loved one at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.

The garden will be completed in phases, as funds become available from prospective donors.  The first phase of installing the walkway with 3,000 bricks and landscaping has been completed.

For a donation of $250, a donor can engrave a brick in the walkway with three lines of text in memory or in honor of someone.

These funds will help support the foundation for Florida Hospital HospiceCare, the area’s only faith based, not-for-profit hospice organization accredited by The Joint Commission. To request an order form, call the Florida Hospital HospiceCare Foundation at (386) 586-4440.

To learn more about the dedication ceremony or to RSVP, call toll-free 866-328-6417.
