WEBINAR DETAILS

Distress, defined as “extreme anxiety, sorrow, or pain,” is a clear sign for the counselors on the team to perform immediate and skillful intervention.  The expertise of social workers and chaplains is vital in alleviating distress.  Participants will explore methods to assess both psychosocial and spiritual distress levels and will use scenarios to apply skills and interventions to challenging situations.  This webinar will also incorporate key concepts from “trauma-informed care” to address trauma-related distress.
