GULFSIDE HOSPICE OFFERING 8-WEEK BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUPS

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 14, 2015) – Starting Nov. 3, Gulfside Hospice will be offering two new 8-week support groups for newly bereaved individuals.

During the group sessions, members will be encouraged to share information, experiences and emotional support for one another under the group counselor’s leadership. The groups will emphasize discussion and participation while focusing on various aspects of grief and the healing process.

The first 8-week group will start Nov. 3 and be held on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. at Harvester United Methodist Church, 2432 Collier Parkway in Land O’ Lakes. A second group will start Nov. 5 and be held Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. at Gulfside’s Bereavement and Community Outreach Center, 6230 Lafayette Street in New Port Richey.

Bereavement services are offered free of charge to individuals who have had a loved one on Gulfside Hospice’s services. Bereavement services are also offered to community members with no prior association with Gulfside Hospice for a small fee after completing a private consultation.

Gulfside Hospice, established as a nonprofit corporation in Pasco County in 1988 and initially licensed in 1989, serves more than 375 patients daily. Gulfside employs more than 250 professionals and has more than 500 volunteers, and is the only hospice that serves Pasco County exclusively.
