Welcome to HHH for New Providers

This session is designed to provide education to new providers and those who are not familiar with the new Home Health and Hospice website, eServices and additional resources to ensure success when filing claims to Medicare.
Hospice General Inpatient (GIP)
12:30 – 1:45 p.m. ET
Hospice General Inpatient Care (GIP) is for pain control or symptom management provided in an inpatient facility that cannot be managed in other settings. This session is appropriate for all hospice staff and will discuss the regulatory aspects of GIP, when GIP is appropriate, Office of Inspector General findings and documentation tips.
Are You Familiar with the Other Medicare Contractors?
2 – 3:15 p.m. ET
This session will take a closer look at five of the Medicare Contractors: Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT), Unified Program Integrity Contractor (UPIC), Supplemental Medical Review Contractor (SMRC), Qualified Independent Contractor (QIC), Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), and Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC). Participants will understand the purpose of each Medicare Contractor, how to properly respond, points of contact and other tips, if applicable.
