It’s an area of interest that has been documented for thousands of years,  even showing up in prominent 19th-century literature. The fascination with these particular dreams  has led to studies conducted by nurses, neurobiologists and psychologists.

The following article follows a team of medical professionals headed by Dr. Christopher Kerr from Hospice Buffalo while they embark upon understanding what these dreams might mean. Dr. Kerr and his team commenced the study with the participation of 59 terminally ill patients receiving acute care at Hospice Buffalo. The results of the study show some surprising trends yet,  still led to more questions.
