The Vice President of Marketing and Outreach is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communication strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training and managing all access, marketing, and outreach functions to achieve the organization’s objectives for sales, growth, profitability, and visibility while ensuring a consistent marketing message and position. Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master’s degree in a related field strongly preferred.
  2. Ten years of experience in a progressive Marketing role with five years of experience in management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  3. A track record of performance excellence in meeting targets and objectives.
  4. Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial kills.
  5. Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve
  6. objectives with a team approach.
  7. Valid Florida driver’s license and required auto liability insurance.

This executive-level position is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the organization in accordance with laws and regulations and the policies and practices of the organization. The Vice President of Human Resources will also be responsible for the strategic human resources planning to provide the organization with the best people talent available. Responsible to: President/Chief Executive Officer. Directly Supervises and Evaluates: Human Resources Director.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred. 
  2. Ten years’ related experience required, preferably in the field of healthcare.
  3. Five years of experience in management required.
  4. SPHR required. 
  5. Two or more years experience managing a self-funded group health plan preferred. 
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Clinical Operations is responsible for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of all clinical services at Big Bend Hospice. The ideal candidate must be an experienced manager and leader with the following qualification and personal characteristics. Demonstrated track record of superb operating and management skills. Requirements:

Executive Director

The Executive Director (ED) is the top leadership position at Good Shepherd Hospice, Inc. Good Shepherd Hospice (GSH) is a Medicare-certified, Joint Commission accredited agency that provides palliative and end-of-life care to a service area that encompasses three Florida counties: Polk, Highlands and Hardee. GSH was established in 1983. Today it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chapters Health System, Inc. from which GSH receives a significant amount of management and administrative support, including financial and accounting, human resources, legal, marketing, development /fundraising and information technology services. With a budget of $44 million in 2011 GSH served 3956 patients throughout its communities. Its professionals cared for 46.1% of all the deaths that occurred in the tri-county area. GSH provided $1.2 million in charity care. It employs over 500 full and part time staff members and has 580 trained patient/family and office volunteers.

 

The individual selected for the ED position, preferably, will have an MBA or MHA, and at least ten years of relevant experience, five of them at the executive level. The ED is responsible and accountable for the oversight and daily operations of all programs, services and care delivered to hospice patients and families in the Good Shepherd service area. Currently the operation includes three inpatient facilities, admissions, medical services, home care (also includes Nursing Homes and ALFs), Professional Relations, Hospice Help 24, volunteer services, the Bethany Center for grieving children and other bereavement programs. A stand-alone 16 bed hospice house inpatient unit is scheduled to open in Lakeland in 2013.

 

The Executive Director also has direct responsibility for developing and maintaining community and industry business relationships, and assisting in promoting legislative and advocacy strategies at the state and federal level, maintaining relations with the Board of Directors, and working with the development office to foster philanthropic support. The successful candidate will either have well-established ties and relationships within the community, or will be committed to establishing those ties and relationships by spending significant amount of time in the service area. The management team members that report to the ED include the Chief Clinical Officer, Medical Director, Director of Professional Relations, and Manager of Admissions.
