Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Clinical Services and Executive/CNO, the Manager of Bereavement and Community Grief is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of bereavement and community grief services, including but not limited to: coordination and supervision of bereavement and community grief counselors and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc. (Community Hospice) bereavement program in support of patient family members, and development and management of grief programs to support the needs of our community. Masters degree in social work from an accredited school of social work. Florida LCSW required. State certification as a “Qualified Supervisor” for Chapter 491 preferred. Minimum five (5) years clinical practice/direct service experience with individuals and families in health care. Minimum two (2) years supervisory and program management experience.

Under the direction of the Manager of Bereavement & Community Grief, the Bereavement Counselor performs a wide range of clinical activities with grieving families and coordinates services to adapt to clients’ needs in coping with the death of a loved one. Master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited program. Minimum five (5) years clinical practice/direct service experience with individuals and families. Strong organizational skills and/or project management. Licensed as a clinical social worker or mental health counselor with at least three (3) years of experience providing therapy.
