Hospice Program: Hospice of Palm Beach County

Location: West Palm Beach

Description:

The position facilitates the conversion of referrals to admissions through the completion of the intake process and the use of effective phone and customer service skills. Ability to handle high volume of incoming calls and demonstrates excellent customer service and public relations skills to all clients, customers. Assists the Admissions Nurse by following the patient throughout the referral-intake-admission process to facilitate a smooth transition to the hospice program. Processes the referral, collects all data possible from referral sources to ensure efficient, pre-qualifying of patients.

 

Hours: Sunday-Thursday – 11:30 am-8:00 pm

 

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferable. Must have 3 years healthcare experience in a clerical or related position. Call Center exp. in medical environment highly desirable. Computer literate. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to develop and apply effective customer service skills. Ability to develop HPBC clinical knowledge base. Knowledge of hospice and home health programs is desirable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
