Covenant Hospice is seeking individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of patients and families. A volunteer workshop will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Monday and Wednesday May 11th & 13th at the Covenant Hospice office, located at 2001 N. Palafox Street in Pensacola, FL. The workshop is 8 hours, and is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

This workshop will provide an overview of hospice care, including Covenant’s programs and services and the special roles that volunteers fill in supporting patients and families in the home. Volunteers visit and provide companionship, offer emotional support and practical help, and help patients and their loved ones to do the things that they most enjoy. Volunteers are asked to commit to 50 hours of service annually, or a little more than 4 hours each month.

No special background or experience is required to volunteer for Covenant, just a desire to make a difference. Volunteer schedules are flexible and based on volunteer availability. To register or to learn more, call Barbara Fike at 850-202-0924.

Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate services to patients and loved ones during times of life-limiting illnesses.
