Tanya Stewart

Dr. Stewart received her medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon. She is specialized in Internal and Palliative Medicine and has practiced Palliative Medicine for the past fifteen years. Her passion is in improving quality of medical care for patients and families facing serious illness. In 2010, she received the prestigious Sojourns award for leadership in palliative care in the state of Oregon.

 

She is a nationally recognized speaker on topics related to cardiac care and device management at the end of life, advanced care planning and intimacy care for patients facing a life limiting illness and is currently serving on the board of directors for Hospice Medical Director Certification program. Her current position is Medical Director with Optum Complex Population Management serving patients in Oregon and Northern California. She is also associate medical director for Community Home Health and Hospice based in Longview Washington.
