Covenant Hospice’s 20th Annual Evening of Comedy

Pensacola, FL – Covenant Hospice, along with top sponsors Brown Helicopter, Pensacola Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, Wells Fargo and Dignity Memorial, is proud to present the 20th Annual Evening of Comedy — a gala-style event featuring a cocktail hour, sit-down family style dinner, live and silent auctions, prize drawing, photo booth, theme-related activities and comedic entertainment by stand-up comedian, Henry Cho.
This year’s event promises a great time and lots of laughs from 6 to 10 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 22 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front. WEAR TV-3 news anchor Sue Straughn will return to emcee the event, and Brent Lane of Cat Country 98.7 will serve as live auctioneer. Tickets are available for $75 per person; tables of ten are available for $750 and tables of twelve may be purchased for $900. Dress will be business and cocktail attire.
Henry Cho’s TV and film credits include appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show, CBS’s The Late, Late, Show, and NBC’s Young Comedians Special. He served two years as host of NBC’s Friday Night Videos and had many guest roles on various network sitcoms. Henry’s one hour Comedy Central Special, “What’s That Clickin Noise?” is currently running and he can also be heard on Sirrus, XM and Blue Collar Radio. He’s also a regular performer at the Grand Ole Opry.
Live and silent auctions will showcase a broad array of items including adventure and vacation packages, artwork, goods and services, dining and jewelry. The silent auction boasts a variety of jewelry, weekend getaways to New Orleans, Atlanta and Orlando, vacation weekends at Portofino, sports memorabilia including autographed by Former FSU, Coach Bobby Bowden as well as services from some of the finest in our community. The live auction features amazing experience packages that will appeal to all ages.
