Avow Hospice is aware of the challenges of being a caregiver and offers support groups that are open to anyone in the community. Attendees maybe a parents, spouses, children or friends of people suffering from life-limiting disease. Attendees can participate at whatever level they feel comfortable. Group leaders will also help caregivers find resources in the community for whatever types of assistance their loved ones may need.

Part 1 of the series will focus on understanding the regulations, the types of deficiencies, including condition level deficiencies and immediate jeopardy, and how to avoid them. It will also drill down on regulatory compliance, including how to prioritize noncompliant areas, assess your agency, write action plans, involve and educate staff, and develop an effective QAPI program.
