Treasure Coast Hospice will celebrate the holiday season with its Tree of Life ceremony in Fort Pierce on Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Stuart on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and in Tradition on Friday, Dec. 12 all Tree of Life ceremonies are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The annual tree lightings are held in partnership with the City of Fort Pierce, City of Stuart and town of Tradition. Locations are as follows:

  • Fort Pierce: Downtown Gazebo at the corner of Avenue A/Indian River Dr.
  • Stuart: Downtown Gazebo at 100 E. Ocean Ave.
  • Tradition: Gazebo on the Lake, SW Meeting St.

The ceremonies will include a message of hope from Treasure Coast Hospice and musical performances. This year’s event will include the sale of a porcelain ornament keepsake with the words “Cherish the Memories” engraved on it for a $15 donation.
The holidays can pose a challenge for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Traditionally a time of joy and laughter, the holiday season brings mixed emotions, feelings of stress and loneliness.
At all of the Tree of Life ceremonies guests may acknowledge their loss by writing the names of their loved ones on a special memory tag to place on the decorated tree. If guests are unable to attend the ceremony, they may pick up tags at the Mayes Center for Hope or the Thomas Counseling Center and hang them on the tree at their convenience. The trees will be displayed in the downtown gazebos until December 31 (Tradition tree will only be displayed for that evening).
