Helping Teens Deal With Grief

SOUTH BREVARD COUNTY, FL – North Star – Child Grief Support, a program of Hospice of St. Francis, is reaching out to teens in South Brevard. The Teen Group is open to teens, ages 13 to 18, who have experienced a significant death. People are invited to share their personal experiences with grief, ask questions of the group, and provide support for the other participants. The program has a series of guidelines, including a commitment to protecting confidentiality and providing a safe and open environment for sharing.
Initial group meetings will be held Thursday, January 15 and Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The group will meet at the Hospice of St. Francis office located at 4875 N. Wickham Rd., Ste. 104, Melbourne 32940.
